Biography
Donald G. Geddes, III is a former investment advisor whose high-profile international clients have included a long list of Hollywood’s elite, nobility and European celebrities. An artful bon vivant and recognized undersea explorer, native New Yorker Geddes is a Choate and George Washington University graduate who is at home anywhere in the world. A longtime resident and devotee of the Vieux Carré, the historic French Quarter of New Orleans, Geddes has also lived in the New Orleans Garden District and the Faubourg Marigny. Post-Katrina, Geddes, his native New Orleanian wife, Marilyn, and their Yorkshire terrier, “Hemmingway,” now spend the majority of their time in Virginia. A distinguished author of published papers, Geddes writes nonfiction and fiction short stories. Ruins of Grandeur is part of The Peter Grant Chronicles, a trilogy mystery series. The forthcoming book two spans New Orleans and Haiti, and the third title is set in Paris. The Peter Grant Chronicles are being developed for adaptation to the screen. Geddes has a three-book deal in the works with Morgana Press of New Orleans.
From Donald:
It’s not often one gets to work with highly motivated, dedicated people who exhibit total professionalism in their various skills. The Waitt personnel associated with the recent Panama expedition did everything possible to make the INA group’s experience with them not only highly successful, but also totally enjoyable. Those of us who are used to the usual hardships of most archaeological endeavors were highly impressed with the degree of sophistication of electronics, communications, and equipment.

“Every shipwreck is a time capsule.” - Dr. George F. Bass
